Cecilia Bourguignon

Dr. Bourguignon obtained her Post-Graduate Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Pennsylvania, USA. She practices endodontics and dental traumatology in her private office in Paris, France. She is an AAE (American Association of Endodontists) specialist member. She was nominated Foundation Fellow of IADT (International Association of Dental Traumatology) and served as Officer and Director of IADT for more than 12 years. She is a contributor to the Dental Trauma Guide (DTG) and assists in spreading dental trauma knowledge both to the French-speaking countries and worldwide.

She is co-author of the globally renowned "IADT Guidelines for the treatment of traumatized teeth” published in 2007, 2012 and in 2020. The 2020 Fractures and Luxations section of the IADT Guidelines was among the top ten most-downloaded articles as evaluated during its first twelve months of publication in the journal ‘Dental Traumatology’, contributing to a significant increase in the journal’s impact factor. 

Among other publications, she co-authored two chapters in the Elsevier book ‘’A Clinical Guide to Dental Traumatology’, which was translated into Spanish and Japanese; authored the dental trauma chapter in the French book “Endodontie”; and co-authored the chapter “Endodontic aspects of traumatic injuries” in UK's book “Harty’s Endodontics”. She is also the main author of the trauma chapter in Springer’s “Pediatric Dentistry” released in 2022. 

Dr. Bourguignon received invitations to lecture all over France and worldwide in Japan, Australia, India, USA, Brazil, Qatar, Poland, Czech Republic, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland and in meetings such as IADT, EAPD (European Academy of Pediatric Dentistry), AAE and ESE Congresses.
