Contemporary Endodontics - Minimally Invasive Solutions
Speakers: Shanon Patel and José Aranguren
Endodontic treatment has undergone a remarkable evolution in recent years, making minimally invasive endodontics more predictable and efficient. In this course, an evidenced based approach as well as our clinical experience will be shared with delegates.
Aims
The workshop will focus on the performance of the latest generation of Zarc NiTi files designed for minimally invasive endodontics (MIE). The world’s first dual phase (Artensitic & Martensitic) file will be discussed and used in detail, its advantages over conventional single-phase files will be explained.
Hydraulic calcium silicate cements have grown in popularity over the last 2 decades, when used correctly they offer efficient and simple obturation, their relevance will be discussed in this presentation.

Conservative single-file reciprocating instrumentation without glide path?
Speakers: Gustavo de Deus and Ghassan Yared
Aims
This workshop introduces a conservative reciprocating instrument designed for single-file use without prior scouting or glide path preparation. Participants will have the opportunity to use this instrument in challenging canals to experience its shaping efficiency and appreciate how its conservative shaping still allows effective irrigation and obturation with matched gutta-percha cones.
Registration fee: €40
Maximum number of participants: 14
14:00 – 16:00 | Henry Schein Workshop
XP-4D Workflow: Exploring new potentials
Speaker: Adham Azim
Aim
With the massive improvements in rotary files, root canal instrumentation became very predictable with minimal mishaps during treatment. Common challenges of initial negotiations of the root canal space and addressing the three-dimensional anatomical structure still exists. XP-4D files have produced a revolution in simplicity, efficiency, and safety in primary endodontic treatment instrumentation. This course is designed to exploring how participants can advance from early negotiation of the root canal space to master cone placement and obturation in a simple, predictable and efficient manner.
Registration fee: €40
Maximum number of participants: 25
16:00 – 18:00 | Woodpecker Workshop
Work Smarter, not Harder: Minimizing Debris Through Improved Instrumentation and Irrigation
Speaker: Carlos Alberto Spironelli Ramos
Abstract
Despite decades of innovation in endodontic instrumentation, a persistent paradox challenges
clinicians: efforts to clean the root canal system can unintentionally generate and extrude debris,
leading to postoperative complications and impaired healing. This lecture explores the “clean
paradox” — the unintended consequences of conventional shaping and irrigation protocols — and
presents an evidence-based pathway toward smarter, biologically driven techniques. Attendees will
examine the chemical-mechanical factors contributing to debris formation and lateral packing, and
learn how modern approaches, such as the SonicStream rinsing, can harmonize instrumentation
and irrigation to achieve safer, cleaner, and more predictable outcomes. Emphasis will be placed on
clinical integration, efficiency, and real-world applicability.
Hands-On Practical Learning Activities:
1. Identify the anatomical features on a 3D tooth replica based on micro-CT images of a lower
molar with intricate canal anatomy.
2. Use a sequence of two files (EvoFlex™) for instrumentation.
3. Employ Passive Ultrasonic Irrigation or Continuous Ultrasonic Irrigation with PolySonic® tips
and the piezoelectric ultrasonic unit.
5. Compare the cleanliness achieved through the proposed technique versus conventional
irrigation by evaluating both methods.
6. Perform a single cone obturation using KP Bioceramic sealer and selected gutta-percha.

Advanced Strategies for Managing Curved Canals: workshop with TriAuto ZX2+ and the OGP2 Motion
Speaker: Hugo Sousa Dias
Aims
This workshop aims to provide participants with a comprehensive approach to managing curved canals using the latest technology. The focus will be on the TriAuto ZX2+ motor by MORITA and the innovative OGP2 motion, combined with a martensitic file system, to optimize clinical efficiency and safety in these challenging cases.
