Our Honorable Speakers
As the president of the European Society of Endodontology (ESE) I wish to extend a warm welcome to our 23rd biennial congress in Rome, where we invite you to meet modern endo in the Eternal City | 8th–11th September 2027.
All roads lead to Rome — and in 2027 they lead endodontics to a city where history, science and culture have met for centuries. It is a fitting setting for a congress built around a single question: how do we turn what we know into what we do? Our programme moves deliberately from evidence to the chair, addressing the clinical challenges practitioners meet every day.
The congress opens on Wednesday 8th, which gives the stage to a pre-congress day featuring courses, interactive lectures and workshops, followed by the Opening Ceremony.
The main congress activities will begin on Thursday 9th and, along the lines of previous biennial congresses, will feature keynote lectures from world-class speakers alongside symposia on specific clinical, educational and research themes. For the first time in ESE history, we will also bring live sessions to the stage — a new addition that promises to be one of the highlights of the programme. We will again make room for younger and more diverse voices, and for the ESE tradition of oral presentations on freely chosen subjects. Running in parallel, a broad array of research, educational, clinical and general endodontic posters, together with clinical videos, will speak to delegates from every background. Dedicated time is set aside for the trade exhibition and for the conversations that happen between sessions. We will again feature our ESE Live Studio on the exhibition floor, streaming sessions live throughout the congress — one of the highlights introduced at our last congresses.
Our home will be La Nuvola, the Roma Convention Center in EUR — a building that captures the spirit of this congress in architecture. The venue is one of the boldest structures in modern Rome: sustainable, adaptable and built for events on a grand scale. Ancient city, contemporary landmark — and, a short metro ride from the Colosseum, the past is never far away.
Our social programme will feature an Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception, the ESE Reception and further networking opportunities in preparation — bringing colleagues and friends together in one of the world's great cities.
