Daniel Manoil

Daniel Manoil is a Lecturer in oral microbial ecology and infection biology in the Division of Cariology and Endodontics, at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. He graduated in dentistry and earned his PhD in oral microbiology from the Faculty of Medicine in 2018. He followed up with a 3-year postdoctoral fellowship in Karolinska Institute, in Stockholm, Sweden, before returning to Geneva in 2021 as a Senior Clinical Associate to pursue his research. Daniel’s work focuses on the complex interactions between the oral microbiota and its host, with particular interest in the adverse effects that oral dysbiosis may elicit on mucosal immunity and autoimmune conditions.
