João Brochado earned his dental degree from the University of Coimbra, Portugal, in 2013. Following his relocation to the Netherlands, he pursued advanced studies in endodontics, completing a postgraduate Master’s Program in Oral Health Sciences, specializing in Endodontology, at ACTA (Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam), from 2019 to 2022. Currently, João is a dedicated teacher at ACTA, where he instructs undergraduate dental students and is also involved in the postgraduate endodontics program. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he practices exclusively endodontics. He is currently enrolled in his PhD and has published in several renowned international journals. He is an active member of professional organizations, including the Dutch Society of Endodontics (NVvE and TEN), the European Society of Endodontology (ESE) and the American Association of Endodontists (AAE).
