Shanil Patel

Dr Shanil Patel completed his Membership in Endodontics specialty examinations at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2022 and his Doctorate in Dental Sciences (Endodontics) at the University of Liverpool in 2023 to become a registered Specialist in Endodontics. Shanil’s Doctoral research was centred around the survival of root-filled teeth. The studies involved in his research have been published in the prestigious International Endodontic Journal and British Dental Journal. Shanil currently works in multiple dental practices across central London and Manchester, providing specialist endodontic treatment. He teaches on independent endodontic courses and is a committee member for the British Endodontic Society Early Careers Group. Shanil has won various dental awards such as the British Endodontic Society Harty Prize, the University of Leeds Undergraduate Oral Surgery Award and the Northwest of England Dental Core Training Poster Prize. He was also a finalist for the Northwest of England Dental Foundation Training Restorative Case Prize. He has completed his MFDS qualification to become a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
