Dr. Aleksandar Jakovljevic is an accomplished Assistant Professor and Research Associate in the Department of Pathophysiology at the Division of Oral Rehabilitation, School of Dental Medicine, University of Belgrade, Serbia. Since 2023, he has successfully led all scientific laboratories at his university. His extensive research on the etiopathogenesis and epidemiology of apical periodontitis has resulted in 50 publications in prestigious peer-reviewed international journals, accumulating 760 citations and achieving an H-index of 16. Dr. Jakovljevic is a recognized leader in his field, having received multiple prestigious awards for his scientific contributions from the Balkan Stomatological Society, as well as the French, Austrian, and European Societies of Endodontology. He is a member of the Scientific Committee for the European Society of Endodontology and has participated as a senior reviewer for the S3 Clinical Guidelines. Moreover, he has been invited to speak at the 19th and 21st ESE Biennial Congresses, among many other international conferences and educational events. During his career, he received several research grants and participated in many national and international scientific projects. Dr. Jakovljevic has penned two textbooks for students and contributed two chapters to notable international publications. He is happily married and proudly raises two children.
